Ben Dudley – Executive Director

 

As executive director, Ben oversees the collaborative work of Engage Maine's partner organizations.

Prior to this Ben represented part of the City of Portland for four terms in the Maine House of Representatives. During this time he served on the standing committees on Appropriations & Financial Affairs, Banking & Insurance, Health & Human Services and the select committees on Health Care Reform and Property Tax Reform.

Ben served as Chairman and CEO of the Maine Democratic Party during the 2006 election cycle, which saw the reelection of Democrats to the governorship, both U.S. House districts, and majorities in both legislative chambers.

Ben has also held positions with several Maine non-profit organizations and political campaigns, and has received recognition for his commitment to progressive leadership and politics both as an elected official and as an activist. ben@engagemaine.org

  

George Christie – Director of Programs and Outreach

George has over 15 years experience managing non-profit organizations, working with data files, implementing grassroots organizing campaigns and providing targeting services for the progressive community. He has managed state-wide ballot initiatives, dozens of legislative campaigns and over 50 state legislative races. George oversees political strategies for Engage Maine. george@engagemaine.org

  

Erin Clark – Assistant to the Director

Erin has worked for a number of area non-profits in office and project administration for the past 8 years and joined Engage Maine in August of 2008.  She has been involved with many local organizations and initiatives as a board member, organizer, and activist.  Erin is Ben Dudley's assitant and manages day-to-day administrative and office functions for Engage Maine.  erin@engagemaine.org
