New Tools for Maine Progressives
Engage Maine is a collaboration of Maine organizations committed to common progressive goals. We are making Maine a better place by engaging citizens and helping them to play an active role in democracy. Whether in their communities, at the polls, or on the statehouse floor, Mainers have a vested interest to get more involved. With the infrastructure of our partners and a variety of new and exciting tools, we can do just that.

Engage Maine was born out of deep concern for democracy and a belief in the progressive community’s potential to work together more effectively for sustainable social change. Engage Maine is a non-partisan, long-term strategy for building strategic power in order to advance public policies that will bring a better future for all Mainers. This strategy restructures the way that socially responsible organizations and activists work to create a framework for positive social change built by informed, engaged and empowered citizens.
Collaborating for the Common Good
Engage Maine provides tools, strategy, and technical assistance to support effective collaborative action to secure a better future for all Mainers in areas such as:- Tax fairness, job creation and economic development
- A clean and healthy environment
- Affordable and accessible health care
- Equal rights for all Maine people
- A strengthened public education system
